One of the best ways we can gauge the interest in the Greater Toronto real estate market is month over month sales. New low-rise sales in the Greater Toronto Area increased 41.5 percent in September, versus the previous month. Trimart states that these increases are due to a wider selection of homes, specifically in the western region.
The following is a list of some of the highlight projects from the month of September:
Leading off this week’s Hotlist is Churchill Woods, a new development by Starlane Homes. Churchill Woods features 1,915 to 2,310 square foot townhomes, with prices from $529,900. It also features semi-detached homes, ranging from 1,612 to 2,238 square feet, priced for as little as $549,900. Finally, they feature detached homes on 38′ lots, ranging from 2,110 to 2,728 square feet, priced from $739,900. Located at the corner of Thomas and Tenth Line, Churchill Woods was very successful in its grand opening month, witnessing 115 sales.
Second on the Hotlist is the Kettle Lakes Club, a new project by Aspen Ridge Homes, one that had 84 sales in its opening month. Located at the corner of Bayview Ave. and Bethesda Side Rd. in Richmond Hill, Kettle Lakes Club offers townhomes ranging in size from 1,640 to 2,142 square feet, priced from $517,990.
Third on the Trimart Hotlist is Breeze, a project by Midhaven Homes. Located at the corner of Wilson Rd. and Coldstream Dr., Breeze features townhomes, ranging from 1,188 to 2,040 square feet, priced from $244,900. It also features detached homes, sitting on 30’ and 40’ lots, ranging in size from 1,233 to 3,243 square feet, with prices starting at $339,900. Midhaven Homes has been successful in Oshawa with 21 sales in the past month.
Fourth on the Trimart Hotlist is The Neighbourhoods of Summerhill, a development by Vandyk. Summerhill features townhomes, ranging from 1,006 to 1,494 square feet, priced from $209,990. It also features detached homes on both 36′ and 41′ lots, with floorplans ranging from 1,341 to 3,394 square feet, priced for as little as $269,990. Located on Owen Sound St. in Shelburne, The Neighbourhoods of Summerhill achieved 18 sales last month.
Fifth on the Trimart Hotlist is Salisbury Square, a project by Mattamy Homes. Located in Brampton, just east of the corner of Queen St. West and Chinguacousy Rd., Salisbury Square obtained 12 sales in the past month. Salisbury Square is home to Village homes, ranging from 1,031 to 1,351 square feet, priced from $289,990. It also features three-storey townhomes with 1,359 to 1,961 square foot floorplans, priced from $344,990. There are detached homes on both 30’ and 36’ foot lots, ranging in size from 1,337 to 2,263 square feet. The detached homes are priced as low as $399,990.
