Trimart: Successful 2013 for New Low-Rise Market

According to Trimart Research Corporation’s most recent report, total new low-rise sales in the Greater Toronto Area for 2013 exceeded 2012’s total. In the West Region, Brampton and Oakville were the top selling cities. In the north, Barrie and Kleinburg performed the best, and Toronto dominated the Central Region. Thanks to the holidays and severe weather, December 2013 was a slower month for new home sales (but that’s a common trend).
Listed below are a few notable sites for the last month:
Placing first on this week’s Trimart report is Kingmeadow, an Oshawa community by Minto, which saw 25 sales last month. Kingmeadow features 36’ and 43’ single detached homes and a great collection of townhomes. The homes range from 1,068 to 3,502 square feet and pricing starts at just $229,990.
Coming in second with six sales last month is Huron Woods, a Kitchener community by Freure Homes. Huron Woods offers 38’ and 40’ single detached homes and townhomes, ranging from 1,293 to 2,959 square feet. Prices can be found as low as $251,500.
Third place is taken by Great Gulf’s King City community King Oaks, which had four sales last month. King Oaks features spacious 70’ detached homes ranging from 2,920 to over 6,000 square feet. One of these beautiful homes can be yours for as little as $1,249,000.
Placing fourth, also with four sales, is Quails Hollow by Greenpark. Located in Brampton, Quails Hollow features 38’ detached homes and an array of semi-detached homes, ranging from 1,531 to 2,932 square feet. Prices start at only $423,990.
Another Brampton community, Mayfield Village by Regal Crest Homes, also had four sales last month. Mayfield Village offers a wide selection of homes including 32’, 38’, and 45’ detached singles, towns, and semis. The homes range from 1,633 to 3,174 square feet and prices start at $359,900.
With three sales, sixth place on the Trimart report is taken by CountryWide Homes’ collection at Mayfield Village in Brampton. CountryWide is offering 38’ detached homes and a fantastic series of townhomes. The homes range from 1,805 to 2,434 square feet and prices start at just $359,990.
