Spring into Action: Leave the Cold Behind

By Lucas on Mar 02, 2015

THIS COLD. It’s breaking us down. Morning/evening transit commutes are becoming unbearable, the air hurts our faces every time the wind blows, there’s slush everywhere...EVERYWHERE. And can we talk about the salt for a second? What’s the deal with throwing an entire bag of salt on one single sidewalk square? People are walking around with salt stains up to their knees. We think it’s time to Spring into Action.

For the entire month of March, we will be featuring a wide variety of posts related to getting yourself and your new home ready for spring weather. Hopefully, as the first day of spring approaches, the weather will actually correspond with the nice photo of flowers on our wall calendar.

We’ll be featuring many different spring cleaning tips, and maybe even focus on some new technology that’s making home organization easier and more efficient. Decor is always a big factor when the seasons change because you want to bring those amazing outdoor colours into your living space, so we’ll be chatting with an interior decorator/designer about how to do this effectively (and on the cheap!).

Peony_bloom Peonies bloom in spring and should last all summer if cared for correctly!

What else is important in the spring? Oh yea, actually spending time outdoors. We’ll have a few tips for getting your backyards, balconies, and patios ready for some outdoor entertaining, and you can bet that Canada’s gardening guru, Mark Cullen, will have some very useful tips for all the green thumbs out there who can’t wait to pull on the gardening gloves and hit the dirt.

Spring time isn’t all fun and games though - there are a few things in terms of maintenance that you need to do in order to keep your home in tip top shape. We’ll fill you in well before spring hits us full on so that you’re prepared to spend the majority of the beautiful weather outdoors with family and friends.

Stay tuned - we’re looking forward to...looking forward to spring weather with you.
