The Perks of Living at 488 University in Toronto

Recently, Newinhomes.com had the opportunity of meeting up with Amexon’s Executive Sales Manager, Jason Shiff who told us all the details about the extraordinary Residences of 488 University.

Met with much public interest and equal enthusiasm from potential homebuyers, Shiff gave us a tour of the new presentation gallery, pointing out the wonderful features and finishes that are going to make this building the most iconic tower in Toronto. With unparalleled views from every direction, residents can enjoy the most incredible view of the Toronto skyline from their very own master ensuites. Recognizing the value of this one-in-a-kind view, expert interior designers, II By IV set out to maximize its enjoyability by masterfully designing flow through floorplans for the majority of the suites. This luxurious feature ensures that no matter where you are in the suite, you can see directly outside from floor to ceiling windows. The suites all have 9’ ceilings, oversized terraces and state-of-the-art touch pad control that helps you manage lighting, heating and air conditioning and eventually, music from your phone- a feature worth $10,000 that is usually only available in penthouse suites as a paid upgrade! All of these unbelievably convenient features are available as standard in suites starting from 585 square feet for $388,000.

Conveniently located on University Avenue, residents will have access to anywhere downtown by use of St. Patrick subway station, but unlike most urban dwellers, residents at 488 University can take the elevator down to the station directly, without ever having to leave the building! In terms of amenities, the Residences of 488 University will almost feel like a hotel experience.

“It’s pretty special, developers don’t really go all out in amenities. We’re very particular, we want to make sure we have the best that Toronto has to offer,” said Shiff, looking over the floorplans mounted on the walls. “We have two floors of the SkyClub, over 30,000 square feet starting at the 18th floor, you’ll see limestone and marble on the flooring. We have a large fitness studio, techno gym, weights, top-of-the-line equipment facing directly south so you’ll have a beautiful view.” With a protected view with ownership over land and air, residents can rest assured that this sight is permanent.

“There’s also a yoga studio, conference room, private events room, billiard room, his and her change rooms with elaborate marble countertops, steam room, sauna, squash court, spinning studio and this is all only on the 18th floor,” Shiff explained. On the nineteenth floor, residents will have access to an indoor hot tub, indoor saltwater pool with a stylish wood trim around it, as well as an outdoor saltwater pool with a retractable facade offering the most beautiful view of the Toronto skyline from the water. Also, for all the foodies out there, there will be a five-star restaurant in the building!
