November: What Homebuyers Want

By Lucas on Nov 03, 2014

For the majority of the time, the Newinhomes.com Blog is dedicated to keeping homebuyers informed about new communities and developments throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We tour construction sites, visit model homes, attend ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings, all so that homebuyers can stay informed about their new home options. Well, this month is dedicated to focusing on What Homebuyers Want!

We plan on exploring a spectrum of new homebuyers’ needs and desires, particularly in relation to sustainable home features and building practices, smart home technology, floorplan preferences, luxury features, and much more. We’re even working on a new infographic about what’s most important to potential condo buyers in the GTA.

When investigating the demands of today’s homebuyers, it’s important to look further into the future, too. As we all know, new condos and low-rise communities aren’t built overnight. From land acquisition to planning and approvals, to marketing and construction, a high-rise condo can take many years, and the same goes for low-rise communities. Multi-acre master-plans, like Canary District, Regent Park, and Bayside Toronto, take even longer, decades even!

So, as technology advances, homebuilders and condo developers need to look ahead to predict what homebuyers will need and desire a decade or even just a couple years down the road! Technology and design trends are progressing so quickly, that it seems like builders and developers need to establish IT research developments just to stay ahead of the curve.

Our new infographic will be the first featured item for What Homebuyers Want Month, so keep your eyes out for it! And stay tuned for the entire month of November so you don’t miss any of our special features about how to better appeal to the homebuyers of today and tomorrow!
