Construction at Tridel’s SQ is Starting in the Fall!

Earlier this year in February, Tridel kicked off demolition in Alexandra Park for the first condo in the master-planned community, SQ. Well, Tridel just announced that demolition is complete, so construction will be starting in the fall!

Last April, we visited Alexandra Park for our Walkability series. With a Walk Score of 97 and a Transit Score of 100, it is one of the most walkable neighbourhoods in Toronto.
All of the fashion boutiques, restaurants, cafes, bars, and music venues of Queen Street West are within a few steps of SQ, and there is even a Loblaws just down the street! The Queen streetcar runs 24/7, so anywhere else in the city is always accessible.
One of our favourite things about the neighbourhood is the cultural diversity. Alexandra Park is surrounded by the artists and trendy folk of Queen West, the laid back Kensington frequenters, and the young professionals from King Street lunching at their favourite cafe or burger joint. And of course, the actual park and sports courts attracts children and families!
