When Lisa Munnings of The Daniels Corporation’s Interior Design and Décor Centre set out to furnish the new model suite at Limelight, she took her inspiration from the clean architectural design and cutting-edge amenities of the residence. The seventh condominium within Daniels’ multi-award-winning City Centre community in Mississauga, Limelight takes centre stage as being the most environmentally responsible. “For the model suite, I brought in design elements from the architecture and amenity spaces, including the use of natural materials.” Lisa explains. “The concept is simple yet modern, with clean lines and pops of colour - a fresh, contemporary feel with a surge of urban vibe.”

“The Lime” is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom corner suite that measures in at 853 sq. ft., plus 190 sq. ft. of outdoor area on two balconies. In the open main living space, Lisa based the décor on the two floor-to-ceiling windows flanking the corner. “Spectacular views are an important part of the owners’ everyday lives, so I made decisions that would bring the outdoors in. For example, the large coffee table is low so it doesn’t block the views, and I chose charcoal grey sheers for the window treatment. When open during the day, they form a contrasting frame that grounds the space against the neutral colour palette, and when closed at night, they create a sky-like backdrop with city lights twinkling through.”

With this open-concept space featuring a breakfast bar island for dining, Lisa was able to place a full-size sofa and extra seating – making this layout perfect for entertaining. To reflect Limelight’s dramatic glowing green roofline, she added pops of lime green, bright blue and burnt orange in the model’s artwork, throws and cushions. “I also picked up on the environmentally friendly aspects of the condominium, which offers natural bamboo flooring and an all-off switch as standards. And I selected furnishings made from natural materials such as wool, linen and walnut.”

The phenomenal finishing appointments throughout all of the suites at Limelight include nine-foot ceiling heights, gourmet kitchens with granite kitchen countertops and stainless steel appliances, floor to ceiling windows, bamboo flooring throughout and much more.
