King Blue Condos is 80% sold and under construction!

Earlier this year in May, Greenland Group broke ground on their very first Canadian condo development, King Blue Condos in Toronto. Today, construction is well under way and the two towers that make up King Blue are 80% sold!

"Construction has begun for King Blue by Greenland and the heritage building is being prepped to ensure it is secure and safe and construction is progressing smoothly," says Jeff Clark, Senior Vice President, Baker Real Estate Incorporated.

King Blue’s two towers will rise 44 and 48 storeys, and the podium connecting the towers will be the historic Canadian Westinghouse Building, which Greenland is revitalizing. When the Westinghouse Building is complete, it will be one of the largest facade revitalizations in Toronto. What we really love about the design is that the base of the towers on either side of the Westinghouse Building will feature charcoal brick, complementing the historic facade.

Located at King Street West and Blue Jays Way, King Blue is occupying the heart of the Entertainment District - where you don’t need a car and there’s always something to do, day or night. King Street is lined with incredible restaurants serving up a diverse array of cuisines, and there are also many cafes, shops, and banks and other services, like Shoppers Drug Mart.

And since this is the Entertainment District we’re talking about, we can’t forget to mention all the live theatres, cinemas, and other live venues. TIFF Bell Lightbox is nearby and Scotiabank Theatre is just up the street, and the Princess of Wales Theatre and Roy Thomson Hall are a stone’s throw away. Imagine living steps away from where some of the world’s greatest stage acts are performed and whenever TIFF rolls around, King Blue is a prime location of celebrity sightseeing.

Sports fans will also enjoy King Blue’s location, and let’s face it, if you live in Toronto, the excitement around the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and Raptors is contagious even if you’re not a sports fan. The Rogers Centre and Air Canada Centre are within walking distance, so you'll never have to struggle with city parking again when going to the big game.

In addition to the convenient and world-class neighbourhood amenities, King Blue will feature its own collection of luxurious, resident exclusive amenities, such as a landscaped rooftop terrace on the 9th floor with firepits and a beautiful water feature, a party room, a lounge, a rooftop pool with a bar, a full fitness centre, and a multi-media room.

Aside from all of the amazing things about the condo and its neighbourhood, it’s a pretty big deal that this is Greenland Group’s first Canadian development. Greenland is a Fortune 500 company and is 55th on the list of top 500 China Enterprises. They have 23 ultra-high-rise towers under construction right now, four of which are among the top 10 tallest in the world! Their completed projects span 80 cities in China, and they have expanded into nine countries, including the US, Australia, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, South Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia. A developer like Greenland clearly understands how to recognize a market with high potential, so it’s amazing that Toronto is the first city in which they decided to invest in Canada.
