“We do a lot of five-star hotels, bars, and night clubs around the world,” Munge says. “We have great experience in how people want to interact with one another — how’ll they congregate and have fun. We don’t see the lobby as a space you merely pass through. There’s an opportunity for human connection everywhere in this building.”
Flaire’s lobby is an expansive space where contemporary sculpture and good books dot the sleek, recessed shelving. Beyond the polished walnut concierge desk, a wall of glass overlooks a garden space highlighted by a large, abstract sculpture evocative of flight. The Flame Lounge, an intimate lobby enclave beyond a cozy two -way fireplace, gives residents a friendly indoor place to refresh, take advantage of the Wi-Fi, and still stay connected to the outdoors by the space’s extension out into the building’s resort-style entryway.
Consistent with Flaire’s young, modish design vibe, The Hub offers residents an upscale, inviting space to entertain friends and family. This stunning party room features a catering kitchen and gleaming bar, as well as a dining room that would be at home in a boutique hotel.
Cabanas and lounge seating dot the Miami-inspired rooftop terrace, along with lush plantings and specially commissioned sculpture. It’s destined to become a resident favourite, where they can enjoy starlit nights with panoramic views of Shops at Don Mills and downtown Toronto, entertaining friends, cooking on modern barbecue firepits or simply relaxing in the cosy seating.
