A Day in the Life of Dizzy and Billie at Jazz Condos

By Lucas on Jul 13, 2015

Hearing the news about Branthaven Homes releasing four new one-bedroom plans at Jazz Condos in Burlington gave us the idea of laying out a day in the life of a young couple living in the condo.

Before jumping into our “day in the life” story, you need some background info about Jazz Condos. Branthaven is developing the four-storey boutique condo on Plains Road East, near Waterdown Road. Kirkor Architects + Planners designed the building and II By IV Design conceived the interiors. Construction started last April and everything is going smoothly on the site!

Now, onto our story. For the sake of this “day in the life,” let’s call our characters Dizzy and Billie, for no particular reason. Also, this story takes place in the future because Dizzy and Billie just moved into Jazz Condos. The young couple purchased the Calloway, a 657 square foot, one-bedroom+den unit with a 50 square foot balcony, and they paid just $287,510!

Saturday morning starts with the crisp scent of sizzling bacon, Billie wakes up to an extra pillow and sprawls out in anticipation of her breakfast in bed. Between the two, Dizzy is the chef, so he’s the one that takes full advantage of the gourmet kitchen. The Caesarstone countertops and the ample storage space are his favourite features. The tall pantries and extended upper cabinets are perfect for storing his cookware and numerous ingredients.

After a delicious breakfast out on the balcony, overlooking the treetops of Burlington, Billie and Dizzy change into their workout gear and head down to the Jazz Fitness Room. Billie sticks to the cardio machines because she focused on the free weights yesterday. Dizzy strolls in just in time for the morning’s yoga session; he sets up his mat so that he has a clear view out of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

After freshening up, Dizzy suggests heading down to LaSalle Park for a stroll along the Waterfront Trail. The two head out and take a detour a couple blocks west to stop at Bernardino’s, one of Burlington’s best cafes, for lattes and a post workout treats. Dizzy and Billie enjoy their food and coffees down by the lake, and spend a good chunk of their afternoon simply taking in the scenery and dog-watching.

On the way home, Dizzy starts craving the Swiss mushroom burger from Russell Williams Restaurant, which is a stone’s throw from home, so they stop in for a quick bite. Having such a relaxing day, Billie still has a lot of energy and is in the mood to party into the night, but not in the mood to go out on the town, so Dizzy suggests inviting a few people over for a get-together in the Jazz Club.

On the walk home, Dizzy’s stomach is satisfied and Billie is texting her friends about getting together in the evening. She invites a few of her closest friends and Dizzy calls a couple buddies, too. Once the evening rolls around, the party starts in the lounge with drinks and hors d'oeuvres, and then moves to the grand party room where Dizzy and his friends play foosball and billiards while the girls chat in front of the fireplace.

After the farewells are said, Dizzy and Billie return to their Calloway suite and turn in for the evening, looking forward to doing it all again on Sunday morning.
