Welcome back! We hope you had an amazing holiday season and a happy new year. Here at Newinhomes.com, we’re ready to jump right back into the real estate game.
For all of January, we’ll be featuring predictions for 2018 with regards to the housing market, interior design trends, home gardening, renovations and upgrades, and all things real estate!
As usual, we’ll hear from interior designer Jo-Ann Capelaci with her predictions for what looks will be hot in 2018. At the end of the year, she shared the best interior design trends of 2017, and apparently some of these may have some staying power.
We’ll also get some tips from Canada’s gardening guru, Mark Cullen. January isn’t a super busy time for most home gardeners, but Mark has a few tips on the equipment you’ll need for the upcoming season in order to grow and maintain a beautiful garden this year. This is especially important if you’re considering selling your home this year – curb appeal can make a huge impact!
Of course, we’ll be keeping an eye on market activity, both new construction and resale. Penelope Graham of Zoocasa will outline some major policy changes that will affect homebuyers in Ontario this year.
It will be interesting to see if the condo market stays strong. Some have predicted moderation, but all signs point to increased demand. We think it’s pretty safe to say that 2017 was the year of the condo, so we’re eager to see how the market performs over the next 12 months.
As you may have noticed, the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) got hit by a bunch of snow over the holiday season, which made for a picturesque Christmas! Also, it’s been freezing for the last couple weeks. Since winter basically just started, we may slip in some more winter tips this month.
We’re looking forward to another amazing year of being your source for homebuyer tips, news, and market updates!
