We recently took a little trip out to Mississauga and visited with Carmine Cesta of Cesta Developments to chat about one of his latest low-rise projects, Banff Court.

About Banff Court

Cesta began by introducing Banff Court: “These 22 homes here in Mississauga on Banff Court, occupy one of the last little pockets where we can have a cul-de-sac with no sidewalks. It’s going to be really nice for the Lisgar community. Four of the units have already sold, so we have only 18 left.”

Banff Court boasts a stylish selection of luxury semis, with sizes ranging from 1,635 to 1,999 square feet. Some of the impressive interior features and finishes that come standard at Banff Court include exquisite cabinetry in the spacious kitchens, ceramic bathroom accessories, 9’ ceilings on the main floor, oak stairs with a 1 3/4” profile, quality imported ceramic tiles, and chrome accessories.

A custom home buying experience at Banff Court

Cesta gave us a walkthrough of all the different options for features and finishes in the Decor Centre. With your new home at Banff Court, you can hand pick everything from the backsplash tiling, to your hardwood flooring, to the faucets, to pickets, countertops, and cabinetry. You can even choose your brick colour at Banff Court. Cesta explained, “The homes are semis, so if you’re the first purchaser of a set, you get to choose the brick colour.” So, if you want a say in the colour of your new home, you have to be one of the first to buy! All the brick options are very nice though, so we’re confident that you won’t be disappointed if someone beats you to it.

Of course, there are a number of upgrades you can make, but even within the standard options, there is a wide variety. Cesta is actually offering a fantastic Preconstruction Bonus for purchasers at Banff Court, which includes five appliances (three stainless steel, and white washer and dryer), a gas fireplace, extra tall kitchen cabinetry, 3/4” granite countertops, 1st line wrought iron pickets on the stairs, 3” x 3/4” oak hardwood flooring, plus $5,000 to spend on upgrades in the Cesta Decor Centre!

According to Cesta, that $5,000 of upgrades can go a long way. “One thing a purchaser could do is remove the entire second floor carpeting and replace it with hardwood. That would use up a fair amount of the upgrade, but if they didn’t do that, they could upgrade the tiling, get crown moulding, and upgrade to the Moen Eva line of faucets.”

There are so many options, and we haven’t even gotten to the kitchens yet! Everything in the kitchen comes down to your choice: cabinetry style and colour, countertops (Caesarstone upgrades available), backsplash tiling, wall colour, floor tiling, cabinetry hardware, faucets, everything!

We are very impressed with the number of options Cesta has made available at Banff Court. Cesta is truly creating a custom-style buying experience, or as he likes to call it, “semi-custom.”
