Touring Kylemore’s New Model Home at Village Gate in Markham

Recently, the Newinhomes.com team was invited to tour the new Peyton model home at Village Gate, Kylemore Communities’ latest addition to the master-planned Angus Glen Community in Markham.

Glossy, high-end materials, like different metals, marble, chrome, glass, and mirrors are prevalent throughout the Peyton, establishing a sophisticated atmosphere that exceeds the standards of what has come to be expected in a luxury custom home.

“These glossy finishes suggest a moody elegance when paired with charcoal and contrasting pastel shades like aqua,” explains Lockhart. “We want visitors to this home to experience a powerful ‘wow’ factor from the first moment they enter the main foyer and see the living and dining room on either side.”
The one thing that really stood out at the Peyton was that the kitchen/primary living space is wide open and stretches across the entire rear of the home. In the great room, your eye falls instantly on the large gas fireplace, and the ceilings extend to the upper floor. There is a beautiful, bright breakfast setting in the middle of the kitchen, and there is a servery in addition to the large island. With numerous seating areas and counters to mingle at, the primary living space in the Peyton is perfect for entertaining large crowds.

“In the cooking and food preparation area of the kitchen we used a stained brown finish for the large island and cooktop base with range hood and white paint for the balance of cabinetry. We created a clear separation for the bar in a charcoal combining this with the same white paint-finished cupboards to tie the two areas together. This helps to show how inviting it is to entertain in this part of the home,” says Lockhart.

About Village Gate
Last September, Mayor Frank Scarpitti, other council members, and VIPs attended the ribbon cutting of Village Gate, where O’Hanlon announced that their previous collection, Stollery Estates, sold out all 50’ lots very quickly. So, Village Gate is a response to the strong demand to live within the Angus Glen Community.
