TMA Sales Go Through the Roof!

By Lucas on Nov 28, 2014

According to the most recent report from Trimart Research Corporation, the Total Market Area (TMA) saw a record breaking amount of new low-rise sales in October, achieving 2,461 sales. This is the highest October sales have been in the TMA in the last nine years. They were 25.7% higher than September’s, and 8.1% higher than October 2013’s total. For this week’s report, Trimart highlights a number of very successful low-rise sites that opened in the TMA in October:

Forest Hill on the Green by Heathwood Homes takes the top spot on this week’s Trimart report with a tremendous 113 sales. Located in Richmond Hill, the community features 43’ and 50’ detached homes, ranging from 3,480 to 5,723 square feet. Prices started at just under $1.15 million and the community sold out in just three weeks! That’s right, a project of more than 100 $1 million+ homes sold in less than a month. And that’s why Forest Hill is number one this week.

Coming in a close second with 103 sales is Aurora Views, a new townhome community by Treasure Hill Homes. The homes of Aurora Views range from 2,273 to 2,408 square feet, and prices start at $680,900. Aurora has seen a lot of action this year, and Treasure Hill’s recent success in the town has proved that there is a strong demand for new low-rise housing.

The third position is taken by Green Valley Estates, a new community that Bayview Wellington Homes opened in Bradford last month to 81 sales. Green Valley features townhomes, semis, and 38’ and 42’ detached homes ranging from 1,740 to 3,519 square feet. Prices start at $389,900.

Coming in fourth with 60 sales during the opening month is The Craftsman, a new condo development by VANDYK. Located in Mississauga, the project features homes ranging from 605 to 1,750 square feet, priced from $309,990. With the wide range of size and low starting price, The Craftsman is a great option for first-time homebuyers looking to live just outside of downtown Toronto.

Trailing closely in fifth with 58 sales is Deer Springs by Honeyfield Homes. The community is located in Tottenham and features semis and 33’, 38’, and 45’ detached homes ranging from 1,267 to 3,009 square feet. Prices start at $324,990.

Placing sixth on this week’s Trimart report is Jazz Condos by Branthaven Homes. The low-rise condo development saw 47 sales last month and offers units sized from 657 to 1,325 square feet. Located near the Burlington waterfront, Jazz is the first new boutique option in the area, so there was a great turnout on opening day midway through October.
