Lash Group Looking at Yonge and Eglinton

By Lucas on Jun 24, 2013

You know it as well as we do, Yonge and Eglinton is booming. Thanks to a mixture of convenient transit options, available lots, and the demand for live/work/play neighbourhoods, Yonge and Eglinton is being targeted by all sorts of developers.

Lash Group's plans for Yonge and Eglinton

Over the past few months, we have been discussing a number of Yonge and Eglinton projects, such as 2221 Yonge by Tower Hill and E-Condos by Bazis. One development that we have yet to touch on is Lash Group's plans at the corner of Lillian St. and Soudan Ave. - just southeast of Yonge and Eglinton.

The plan, as submitted by Lash Group, calls for a series of individual homes to be redeveloped into a new 17-storey tower, featuring 129 residential units, with 98 parking spaces in a five-level underground parking garage. At this point, no branding or architect is attached to the project.

Tower heights at Yonge and Eglinton

Lash Group's proposal is interesting, considering Bazis' E-Condos is supposed to reach 38 and 64 storeys, and other developers, such as Tridel, Freed, and Madison Homes have also proposed some pretty aggressive heights for the area. It looks like Lash Group is looking to mesh with the current "village" vibe that Yonge and Eglinton already possesses.

A late 2013 launch

In a recent conversation with Larry Blankenstein, the President of Lash Group, he told us to expect a late 2013 launch for the project. So, keep your eye out, we should see more information surfacing in the coming months!

Stay tuned to the Toronto Star's Newinhomes.com, we look forward to bringing you more information on Lash Group's latest endeavour.
