July Theme: Architecture in the New Home Industry

By Lucas on Jul 02, 2013

A new month means a new theme on the Newinhomes.com Blog. For July, we are going to be focusing on Architecture within the new home building industry.

In Genworth Canada’s Spring 2013 Metropolitan Housing Outlook, they forecasted that Ontario will reach about 61,932 housing starts this year. That’s the most out of any province in Canada!

We are hoping that Architecture Month can shed a little light on the different styles of buildings being constructed, how technology has changed the way we think about planning a structure, and also allow us to share our appreciation for the beautiful architecture throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

We have a few interviews lined up with architects from both the low-rise and high-rise sectors, a photo feature or two, as well as an exciting infographic!

A major part of Architecture Month will be the weekly architectural style that we explain and explore in depth. In the real estate industry, you hear different terms like “art deco,” “Georgian,” “contemporary,” “Victorian,” and “modern” get thrown around quite a bit, but how many of you actually understand where these styles come from or what they really mean? Stick around to find out!

We hope you find this month’s Architecture theme informative and interesting. If you happen to be involved in the Architectural industry and would like to participate in this month’s features, then please contact lucas@homebuyers.com.
