Hero name: President

Allegiance: Dream Maker Developments

Secret Identity: Isaac Jr. Olowolafe

Age: 30

Time Active: 2 years

Origin Story:

Isaac’s story starts roughly 11 years ago when he teamed up with his father, who is a real estate broker, to form an investment company called Dream Maker Realty. Eventually, the company evolved into a brokerage firm, servicing clients all across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). For the last seven years, Isaac and Dream Maker Realty have been working with the GTA’s top developers, selling preconstruction developments. Isaac has been involved in the selling of 37 developments, so he has learned a lot about the process of developing a condo from a sales and operations perspective. All this experience has brought him to this point, where he is ready to launch his very own project!

Special Powers:

  • Multi-Tasker - Organizing partner meetings, finding the right consultants, tradesmen, and engineers for the project, and working with the City to obtain permits is a lot to handle all at once!

  • Quick Learner  - Even with all of his experience, Isaac is still learning every day. It doesn’t matter what your age is or how long you’ve been in the industry, things are always changing, and a successful developer will be able to adapt with the times.

  • The Negotiator - Connecting with tradesmen and engineers on a personal level is important when finding the right person for the job. Negotiation skills also come in handy when working with the City.

Current Developments:

  • Dream Residences at Yorkdale - Located directly across from Yorkdale Mall, the development will feature 84 condo units, four townhomes, and commercial space on the ground floor.

Vision:

“As a 30 year old being in the real estate industry for over 10 years, I thank God for the growth I have gone through over the last decade. I am very excited to see how the next 10, 20, 30 years will go because I feel at Dream Maker we have a unique value offering for investors and clients. Starting as an investor, to running a brokerage firm, to now a development company has allowed me to understand the process from all sides of the cycle, which will give us an edge on making it a win/win/win for all parties involved. I believe in this current market, understanding the fundamentals of the area and thinking long term will allow us to build a brand that people can trust while providing value along the way. The way the market is going, the projects that are going to do well will be the ones tied to organic growth within the specific area, such as transportation expansion, government and private improvements, schools, employment, etc.”

Interesting Facts:

Isaac is married to his university sweetheart whom he met at the University of Toronto while he was studying Economics. They now have two young daughters.

He also started the “Dream Maker” Scholarship/Endowment at the University of Toronto/New College, which awards scholarships to undergrads every year.
