The First Glimpse of The College Condominiums at Spadina

One of the most exciting things about reporting on new homes and condos in the Greater Toronto Area is when we get our first look at renderings. One project that we have been awaiting word on is The College Condominium at Spadina, a project by Tribute Communities. We knew all about the project; the location, the height, and the suite numbers, but what we were looking forward to the most was the design.

Tribute released the rendering of The College Condominium at Spadina via their twitter account earlier this week. The Core Architects designed tower offers something a little different than anything we’ve seen at the corner of College and Spadina; a modern touch, with a splash of colour.

The area of College and Spadina has some interesting infill sites that could be re-developed, and if Tribute is successful with The College Condominium At Spadina, even more new projects might head to the neighbourhood.

The College Condominium at Spadina will be a 15-storey tower with 234 residential suites. The site, located at 297 College St., just west of the corner of College and Spadina, is a former Zen Buddhist Temple. There will also be 20,000 square feet of commercial space on the first few floors.

Although Tribute has not taken the project to market, success is expected. This will be Tribute's second condo project in Toronto, after The Residences at RCMI - a project that’s starting to take shape at University and Dundas.
