Recently, Empire Communities celebrated completing 1,000 ENERGY STAR® qualified homes at their master-planned Wyndfield community in Brantford!

EnerQuality president, Corey McBurney, presented Paul A. Golini Jr., EmpireCommunities’Executive Vice President and Co-Founder, with a plaque to commemorate the 1,000 homes and Empire’s commitment to building energy efficient communities.

John Godden, CEO and founder of Clearsphere, who inspects and certifies homes based on ENERGY STAR® standards, was in attendance to highlight the positive effects of 1,000 ENERGY STAR® qualified homes.

3,504 Barrels of Oil Consumed

62,777 Propane Cylinders for Home BBQs

641,756 Litres of Gasoline Consumed

1,618,316 Pounds of Coal Burned

“For the next 100 years each house here that’s ENERGY STAR® is going to have an active impact on our atmosphere in reducing the environmental impact of climate change,” explained Godden.

Brantford Mayor Corey McBurney, and Phil McColeman, MP Brant, were also in attendance to honour Empire’s incredible milestone. “Empire Communities has transformed this part of our community into one of the most desirable and one of the most beautiful areas of the city,” said McColeman.
