Daniels Offers First Home BOOST Program at The Bartholomew

By Lucas on Jan 30, 2015

Calling all first-time homebuyers, young professionals, empty nesters, singles and couples, you need to register for The Bartholomew, The Daniels Corporation’s latest phase of condo and townhome living in Toronto’s up-and-coming Regent Park neighbourhood.

Before we even jump into the new details we’ve received about The Bartholomew, let’s talk about the two homebuyer programs that Daniels is offering. The first one is called the First Home BOOST, which is an amazing down payment program for first-time homebuyers. Basically, if you’re a qualified first-time buyer who is currently renting, Daniels will give you an interest-free loan for 10% of the purchase price, which makes your 5% down payment a 15% down payment. This way, your monthly carrying costs are lower because you’re only paying the mortgage on 85% of the purchase price! Any couples or singles out there looking to purchase their first home and want to go the preconstruction route, this is one of the best programs out there.

The second thing Daniels is offering at The Bartholomew is the opportunity to join The Bartholomew Inner Circle, which entitles you to an invite to the first preview event to choose your favourite suite from the widest selection possible. You will also be able to take advantage of preview pricing. To join The Bartholomew Inner Circle, there is a $300 registration fee, which is then applied to the purchase of your suite, or is refunded if you decide not to purchase.

The suites and towns at The Bartholomew

The 13-storey condo designed by Quadrangle Architects Limited will feature a wide variety of condo suites, as well as 30 townhomes. The condo suites will feature 9’ and 10’ ceilings, laminate, porcelain and ceramic flooring, quartz countertops, European style stainless steel appliances, and deep soaker tubs and glass showers in the elegant bathrooms. Prices for the suites will start in the low $200,000s.

The three-storey townhomes will offer 9’ ceilings on every floor, oak staircases stained to match the flooring, and private backyards with a gas line to hook up a barbecue. The Bartholomew will also feature the Sutton Collection, a selection of seven luxury townhomes on Sutton Avenue. These two- and three-bedroom townhomes will have four levels with rooftop terraces, private garages, finished lower levels, and purchasers will choose from a variety of designer finishes. Prices for the townhomes at The Bartholomew start in the mid $500,000s.

The Bartholomew in Regent Park

With Daniels’ revitalization of Regent Park, the neighbourhood has come a long way in a short amount of time, and there is still a lot in works. Before we dive into the nearby amenities, let’s take a look at what The Bartholomew has to offer right in the building. The amenities floor will feature a spacious party room with a kitchen/bar, a courtyard with gardening plots, a 24/7 lounge, and a pet spa. One of the more innovative amenities is the indoor fitness facility with a multi-purpose room equipped with WELLBEATS, a way to take fitness classes with neighbours and friends with help from an on-screen professional.

Located near Regent Street, between Dundas and Shuter, The Bartholomew is steps away from all of the new facilities that have opened in Regent Park recently. The 60,000 square foot cultural hub, Daniels Spectrum, is just down the street, the new Aquatic Centre (under construction) is on the north side of Dundas, and the 2.8-acre Athletic Grounds is also within walking distance! Daniels has strategically master-planned the Regent Park revitalization to establish a strong sense of community, and with so many community centres and creative hubs within a close proximity, the new and existing residents will definitely come together to form a tight knit, family-like neighbourhood.

Of course, if there are nearby areas, such as the Financial District, St. Lawrence Market, the Distillery District, or any others that you wish to visit, a few of them can be walked to and the rest can be accessed via convenient transit routes.

If you want to register for The Bartholomew or join the Inner Circle, visit the presentation centre at 500 Dundas Street East, or call 416-955-0559.
