Construction is well underway at Mayfield Village in Brampton, a master-planned low-rise community by five award-winning builders, Aspen Ridge Homes, CountryWide Homes, Greenpark, Marycroft Homes, and Regal Crest Homes.

The urban village vibe is beginning to surface as the live work retail units near the community’s entrance at Inspire Boulevard off Dixie Road take shape. Since there are five well established builders involved in the development of Mayfield Village, the community offers a wide range of distinct home styles. The unique offerings make for a distinct streetscape with different styles on every lot.

Mayfield Village features townhomes, semis, live work townhomes, and single detached homes. In Phase 1, the singles sold the quickest, in fact, a few of the builders have sold out of them. The live work townhomes are an interesting aspect of the community. When you think of most suburban communities, ground floor retail directly in the neighbourhood isn’t very common. The builders have strategically placed the retail space throughout Mayfield Village so that no home is further than a five minute walk away.

One of the biggest announcements at Mayfield Village recently was that the builders will be extending the community as far east as Airport Road, making it one of the largest new home communities in Brampton. Cohesion is an important characteristic of large-scale communities that sometimes gets overlooked, but with these five highly experienced and knowledgeable builders working together, Mayfield Village will surely blossom to be a landmark community in Brampton.

Last year, there were more new low-rise sales in Brampton than any other city or town in the Greater Toronto Area. Brampton took the top position not by a few sales but by thousands, so it comes to no surprise that the builders at Mayfield Village have responded to the strong demand by expanding the community. A result of Brampton’s rapid growth is that new businesses will be moving into the city, and the builders at Mayfield Village are accommodating that growth with the work spaces included in the community.
